The Salisbury Recreation Advisory Committee is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at Lindberg Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10 AM. Participants must be children ages 3 – 10 and accompanied by parents. Parents are asked to submit registration forms to the Township Municipal Building, 2900 South Pike Avenue, by April 9th.

The Devonshire Drop Off Center will not open on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 due to conditions caused by the inclement winter weather and current conditions that are not conducive to the safety of our employees and residents that would frequent the site. As weather conditions improve we will announce the season opening for both drop off centers.

The Township would like to remind individuals who wish to solicit in the Township that they must do so after obtaining a Peddling and Soliciting Permit from the Township. Pursuant to Township Ordinance No. 10-2011-570, solicitation is prohibited unless the person has obtained a permit from the Township. Applicants must come to the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 S. Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA 18103 (M-F, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) to fill out an application, in person, along with two (2) forms of identification and $50 application fee. Once the permit is issued after review by the Police Department, the applicant must pick up the permit and carry it with them at all times while soliciting. The solicitor must produce the permit when requested. Residents with questions or concerns regarding anyone soliciting or concerning the validity of a permit should contact the Police Department at 610-797-1447.

The Spring 2014 Curbside Branch Collection Program is scheduled to take place April 14-18. Residents should place the branches at the curb on Sunday after 6 p.m. Branches may be no longer than 5 feet long and 5 inches in diameter. Branches should be bundled and tied with twine. Open containers (no lids) can be used for small branches.

Part-time Summer Playground Counselors are needed for Salisbury Township’s Recreation Program. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. The program will begin in mid-June and run until the end of July. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 AM until 12 PM and Wednesday evenings 6:30 PM – 8 PM. Applications may be downloaded and are also available at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 South Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA 18103 during regular business hours.
