Join us for the dedication of the newly renamed McCullough Park, formerly Green Acres Park, in memory of Frank McCullough, on Saturday morning, June 22nd at 10:00am.

To commemorate Frank’s countless hours serving the Salisbury community for over 50 years, and starting the Summer Park Program, we’ll have a short ceremony to unveil the new sign, followed by park activities hosted by some of our 2024 Summer Park Program staff.

Keynote Speaker: Paul Greenwood, LLB, JD Paul Greenwood, is a retired San Diego Deputy District Attorney who has led the Elder Abuse Protection Unit for 22 years. He will be sharing practical tips on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of exploitation and elder abuse.

Summer Playground Program

Salisbury Township’s Summer Playground Program will begin on Monday, June 17th and run through Friday, July 26th.  The hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Lindberg, Devonshire, Frank McCullough Sr (formerly Green Acres) and Laubach Parks.  This elementary-aged program is for the children of Salisbury Township residents who have completed kindergarten through the of 12.  There is NO pre-registration.  Registration/waiver of liability forms should be turned in at the park location they will be attending on their first day.

NOTICE OF UPCOMING PAVING PROJECT

Beginning on May 7, Bracalente Construction will be milling and paving Andrea Drive and Mockingbird Court, as well as Windy Hill Road from Andrea Drive to Hawthorn Road. The following week, they will start the milling and paving work on Lindberg Avenue.  The Department of Public Works will be placing door hangers on properties that will be impacted by the project.  Please note: there will be times that sections of the roadways will be closed, but the contractor will strive to make it as convenient as possible for traffic, and crews will be in the area to ensure residents can still access their homes.  The work is expected to take two weeks; however, that estimate is weather dependent.  We appreciate your cooperation!
