Modified Drop-Off Site schedules will continue through September 2020

Both Township drop-off sites will continue to be open on alternating weeks during the month of September. Hours are: Monday thru Friday from 8am-2pm; and Saturday from 8am-1pm. Franko will be open the weeks of September 8th (the site will be closed Monday the 7th in observance of the Labor Day holiday) and September 21st. Devonshire will be open the weeks of September 14th and 28th. We will continue to assess the operation schedule beyond September and post appropriate notice. It is subject to change at any time, depending on circumstances.

Residents will have to show proof of Township residency (their most recent utility bill would be optimal) and addresses will be logged. Only 3 cars will be allowed on-site at any given time; only when one car leaves another will be allowed in.

As usual, the sites are open for residential use only; no landscapers or non-residential use will be allowed. All materials will be checked to ensure that they’re clean and not contaminated with other waste. Contaminated materials will not be allowed to be disposed of at the site.

In order to maintain appropriate social distancing, there will be no physical interaction between Township staff and the public. Residents must be able to unload materials and empty containers themselves. Residents must take all bags and containers utilized for the transportation of materials with them when they leave the drop-off site. Masks will be required to be worn to enter the site.

Please see the Township’s Coronavirus Statement for full details on all modifications.

Help for Residents With Damage From Hurricane Isaias

Updated 8/18/20

Assistance for residents – Isaias Home Clean Up Hotline and 211 Helpline

Hurricane Isaias Cleanup Hotline

PA 211 East

While the cleanup hotline is not able to assist with social services such as food, clothing, or shelter, PA 211 East can provide information about these needs.

Toll-Free Hotline Established to Connect with Volunteer Resources

Lehigh County, PA– In light of the effects of Hurricane Isaias on our region, Lehigh County Emergency Management Agency, along with our neighboring counties that were affected by flooding, have been working with our Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster (VOAD) partners to establish the Hurricane Isaias Home Cleanup Hotline to support affected homeowners.

Residents should call 1-844-965-1386 (toll-free) to provide details about the extent of storm-related damages. The information will be shared with volunteers from local disaster relief organizations, community groups, and faith communities who may be able to help.

Call the Hurricane Isaias Home Cleanup Hotline if you need help with these types of services:

  • Cutting fallen trees
  • Removing affected drywall, flooring, and appliances
  • Tarping roofs
  • Mitigating mold

These services are performed by volunteers and will be provided at no cost to the resident. However, service is not guaranteed. Resources are limited. After providing your information to the Hotline, you may be contacted by a representative from a participating organization who will determine if they are able to provide help.

The Hurricane Isaias Home Cleanup Hotline will remain open through Friday, August 28, 2020. Calls are answered by volunteers generally during business hours, but residents can call and leave a message at any time. A volunteer will return the call as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: This Hotline does not provide help with social services such as food, clothing, and shelter. It also does not offer information about insurance, questions about FEMA assistance, or provide financial support. If you need assistance with concerns not related to cleaning your home, you can call 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898-211.
