Paving Notice

The Department of Public Works will begin their paving project on Salisbury Road on Tuesday, August 20.  Please be advised that access will be limited periodically on the dead-end side of Maumee Ave and Paxford Road.

*UPDATE*: The contractor’s milling equipment encountered significant issues that require immediate repair.  The milling and paving project is now expected to begin on August 5th

Notice of Upcoming Paving Project

On MondayAugust 5, Bracalente Construction will begin milling work on the following streets:

  • Salisbury Road from Tweed Avenue to Ueberroth Avenue
  • Lehigh Avenue from Tweed Avenue to Ueberroth Avenue
  • Byfield Street from E Susquehanna Street to Salisbury Road
  • Fairfax Street from E Susquehanna Street to Salisbury Road
  • Marlow Street from E Susquehanna Street to Salisbury Road
  • Maumee Avenue from E Susquehanna Street to Salisbury Road
  • Ueberroth Avenue from E Susquehanna Street to Salisbury Road
  • Brook Avenue north of E Susquehanna Street
  • Delaware Avenue north of E Susquehanna Street
  • Loxley Lane north of E Susquehanna Street
  • Hillside Road north of E Susquehanna Street
  • Maumee Avenue north of E Susquehanna Street
  • Tweed Avenue north of E Susquehanna Street

The milling is expected to take two to three days, followed by storm sewer repairs and then paving.  Door hangers will be placed on properties that will be impacted by the project and no parking signs will be erected in certain areas.  Please note: Sections of the roadways will be closed at times, but crews will be in the area to ensure residents can still access their homes.

Free Electronic Waste Recycling at ReWorld/Goodwill Keystone

Reworld™ and Goodwill Keystone Area have joined forces to provide free electronic waste recycling services in Lehigh County! This program utilizes Goodwill’s network of 42 stores and donation centers as designated collection points for consumer electronics.  Please see attachments for a complete list of stores and details on accepted and non-accepted items.
